Provocative Lyrics | Lush Vocals | Profound Soul
ZENON is a bi-racial, non-binary singer/songwriter forging a path with Soul. Their voice at that forefront packs power with masterful control, their heart pens lyrics that paint a story of personal struggles with mental health in 7 Deadly Sins to What It Was an ‘in your face’ song about social injustices and its impacts.
What It Was, captures those injustices so well, it wins them 2 awards and ZENON’s debut album GENRE Z got nominated in multiple categories at the 2023 YYC Music Awards and in the R&B/Soul category at Western Canadian Music Awards. Most recently they were awarded both Solo Artist of the Year and R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for Falling (Into You) at the 2025 YYC Music Awards.
ZENON live performances has been seen in many stages across Canada. They’ve opened for Jordan Hart on his 2025 tour, opened for Alex Cuba at a Road to the Juno’s event, shared the stage with Mattmac, warmed the audience for Allison Russell and double headlined with Amy Bishop and Theo Tams. ZENON's versatility makes them a sought after collaborator, having worked with Dempsey Bolton, The Blue, K-Riz and Theo Tams.
Redecorating My Mind is ZENON’s latest release; a journey back to self diving deep into the raw experience of losing oneself in another. Each track reveals the layers of heartbreak, self-discovery, and the painful yet liberating process of reclaiming one’s thoughts, emotions, and inner space.
ZENON’s other creative works include composing music for a project with Calgary Opera and composing 12 songs plus writing an exciting musical theatre production as co-creator with Dan Clapson.
Armed with a BMus degree, large repertoire and live show charisma ZENON's trajectory is upward.
